Flutes

Flute and recorder extraordinaire Kelsey Burnham balances her career between her love of performing and her love of teaching. During her time at Oberlin Conservatory, Kelsey was drawn into the world of historical performance and now plays period flutes from the Renaissance to the Contemporary. Since receiving her master’s degree from The Juilliard School, Kelsey is an active performer and recording artist in the greater New York area working in ensembles such as Theotokos and period wind quartet Quodlibet. Along with her private studio, Kelsey currently holds a teaching position at The Peabody Conservatory’s Preparatory Program and recently was a featured guest soloist for The University of Maryland’s Baroque Orchestra and Bard University’s Baroque Ensemble. When Kelsey is able to tear herself away from music, she can be found studying languages, playing video games, knitting, or petting cats.
