Rachel Nierenberg
Natural Horn
Historical and modern hornist Rachel is a passionate communicator and lifelong learner. Drawn to historical performance by her love for music from the Classical era, Rachel enjoys exploring the colorful timbres and range of expression achievable on early instruments. A passion for chamber music has lead her deep into the wild world of wind repertoire and its colorful and varied instrument blends. In addition to the modern and historical horn, Rachel frequently plays the garden hose in elementary schools where she educates kids about the science of sound, and the environment. She holds degrees from McGill University and the Colburn School.
